I own an 89 325I and I'm having issues with the some of the relays in the fuse box to power up. These relays are powered up by the starter so I want to make sure that they are all in the correct location they are supposed to be in.
I have a green wire with a black strip spliced into that black wire
a huge red wire and black wire going to the same location
and the one u can't see very well its a pretty big gauge wire going under the other wires.
I'm not sure what wires do what I know one is supposed to be the trigger wire to start up the starter one I believe has to go to the alternator and another one needs to go to the fuse box to power up the relays.
can anyone ID these wires and if I'm missing something? I looked under and around the car and nothing is disconnected
The large black one is a positive straight from the battery.
The large red one is a positive from the alternator, to the battery, junctions at the starter.
The small wire is the solenoid positive.

Whats the 4th wire? The 4th one is hard to see in the picture.... It's hidden behind the alternator and the battery wires & it's bolted to the lower part of the starter solenoid.
