I really like the spoiler....well done sure looks better than most others for certain.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! is it true headlights must stay up?
??
I guess if you wish to "see" the angle eyes, then yes - the headlights need to stay up.
These are connected to the parking light circuit. These put out quite a bit of light and you could almost drive at slower speeds (neighborhood speeds - 30mph) with only these on. They are not like the BMW stock angle eyes you see on the newer cars, these are actually CCFL, which is basically a small fluorescent tube.

...the price of cool ain't cheap!
Funny thing... I think you were right. It's not just about preference, it is about appreciation for the older style. I think I appreciate 8's now more than I did a few years ago.
I love your car.
[EDIT: I just realized your license plate Literally says "Historic"! lol cool]

was going to tell u to look above lol but you caught it. (just checked, nothing on ebay). I have never had an 8-series so I couldn't tell you. However, I have custom-built e39 headlights with DEPO clear casings, hid, and custom CCFL angel eyes, bought the parts from manufacturers around the world. Saved me about $400 and plus I got to have fun building it. Turned out AMAZING. Maybe you could try to do the same.
First you need to physically measure your headlights to see what angel eyes will fit. Additionally, you might want to research clear new glass for the front of the headlights.
Then you need to find a good supplier of angel eyes. You need to find a supplier who has the correct size of angel eyes.
Then you need to use some skill, along with well-researched parts and high-quality tools to retrofit the angel eyes.
You can try wiring them to the parking lights, or you could run wires strategically to another power source or to the fuse box to an open spot. Make sure to buy the right fuses or you might blow the fuse.
Good luck!

I'm more interested in seeing if anyone has done a true HID projector retrofit in place of the stock lowbeam projectors. Can't find a single thing online.
I’m still interested to know if anyone has figured out how to replace the fog lights with full on headlights...
