Looking for advice on removal of outer door handles...

I got an estimate for some paint work which I would like to have done to my car. It turns out that I can save a decent chunk of cash by doing the R&R of the moldings, nozzles, lights, and door handles myself.

The guy did warn my that the handles were a PITA. I looked it up in Bentleys, and he wasn't BSing.

Has anyone here removed these before? Are there any pointers you can offer?

Yes! Very large PITA. The windows have to be removed to gain access. Way more trouble then it is worth. Let the professional do it! no matter what he charges it is worth letting him do it!!
do you even know what a plethora is?

I'm going to ask him how much it will cost. Any idea of what a fair price would be?

I've had the insides of the doors off, but I have no idea about how long the glass would take to remove.

Does 3hrs/side sound accurate for removal? This is what the shop is quoting me.

Its not to bad of a job to do it. Just need a little bit of patience and a good shop manual. It is all outlined very well in the Bentley Manual for E36's.
