ok, first things first, my car ran hot the other day, i shut it off literally 2 minutes after i noticed it running hot, i assumed it was my thermostat, so its been in the driveway, now, when i crank it up, it runs hot, and is now idling really rough, feels somewhat like its missing really bad, all spark plugs are good just got new ones, what could this be, overheating and the rough idle. thanks in advance.

Check the radiator and cooling fan.

First find out why it overheated. Was the rad low on water? If so why? Leaks? ie water pump, loose hose clamps etc. Assuming you have now filled the rad up and started it, do you leave it long enough to overheat or have you been driving it? Are you getting the dreaded White smoke out the tail pipe? (only check after the engine has been up to operating temp. Otherwise it could be condensation.) Could also do a compression test to see if one cylinder is really low indicating a leaking head gasket.
I'm assuming you do not have a check engine light on?
