im looking for both intake and exhuast that delivers good sound and performance in terms of HP
there's nothing really amazing out there for the 318iS... go FI and get a DASC, that'll speed it up quite a bit. :P
otherwise, i found the best intake to be the "Fogged" Airbox with any good performance exhaust... gotta ask someone else for a good exhaust though, haven't done that yet...

'99 Renault Megane RXE 1.6 16v - R.I.P.
im just tryin to find sumthin that will make it sound better but also affect the HP
No point in trying to upgrade the power sadly... the car won't hang with most other e36's without F/I.
i understand that but...i atleast want to make it nice

For intake, do the fogged airbox. It sounds good and it's basically free. Cold air intakes are a waste of money.
For exhaust, you have to take your pick of sound, but there won't be much performance difference between them. Actually, you won't even be able to tell if your car is faster with an exhaust. Because of this, you can go to a muffler shop, have them bend you some piping and a magnaflow muffler for around $250.
i was looking around for exhausts for my 318is and i found the edgemotorworks exhaust system, is that good or what? some people have said yes some have said no
I bought a Remus system for my 318is. As expected not much gain in power but the sound is quite nice - especially at higher revs.
The system in twin 90mm - perhaps in hind sight a 70mm system might have looked better.

Alot of people here have added a Gruppe M replica intake and an M3 backbox. Sounds great and gives a bit of a gain I think.
