It says that you have 24 posts...you could have started posting pics 4 posts ago!

You can get the BMW original part number for the e39 MPars by using any of the 3 online part databases...just go to the the WHEEL (main group):
    1. http://bmwfans.info/original/
    2. http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw/
    3. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do

The e39 5 series is the ONLY modern 5 series that doesn't share the same wheel specs as all other 5/6/7/8/Z8 BMWs. And its only the wheel hub that is larger (74.1mm versus 72.56mm for all other mentioned models)

If you are looking at original BMW MPars (not replicas)...the information is on the rear side of the spokes:

If push comes to shove, and you can only find MPars with 72.56mm hubs...you can always take them to a reputable shop and have the hubs bored out to the correct 74.1mm.

Yes, according to the parts cross reference you are correct...those two part nbrs only come up for the E39:

You may find yourself looking at replicas when you see the price of a set of OEM's.

RealOEM shows a list price of $4,378 for a set of authentic BMW M-pars, then a set of PS2 will add another $1,200. Add, something for mounting and balancing, and you should really get a full alignment, since the off-sets are different. Pretty soon you are talking real money.

Don't get me wrong they are a great wheel, but if they hadn't come on my car, I wouldn't be able to justify ever buying them. If you can't find a deal on a used set, look at replicas. No they aren't as good, (heavier, and cast, not forged) but a hell of a lot cheaper, and look pretty much the same.

    .
New OEM BMW Mpars are expensive...I won't argue that....but the figures you gave were slightly incorrect.

If you go back to the MPar diagram at Realoem....note that item #1 is for a complete set of "summer wheels"...which also INCLUDE the tires (a staggered set of Dunlops): http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=36&fg=15&hl=5

If you purchase the wheels by themselves, RealOEM will charge you $2778.84 for a staggered set of wheels only

But if you order them from Maxmillian Imports...they charge $3357.90 for the complete set (incl tires)...and $2116.22 for the (staggered set of) wheels alone: http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online...=36&fg=15&hl=5
