Question Car runs better with better gas but....

The car run nearly perfect now with the higher grade RON 98 octane fuel they are selling in Korea.
    I run a Z3 2.8 Mechtech ... RRFPR.. water injection... VANO's off ECU... at 7-8 psi.

I get no CEL and no knocking but I've been noticing that my idle will fluctuate and sometime the car will die at a stoplight. Seems to happen more when the engine is warmed up. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Not sure what the problem is, but it sounds like you got a sweet ride. Got any pics of it?

Probably a tuning issue, I think...

    NoSoup4U,

I gotta ask... what does ICV stand for.... some kind of valve I guess.

    Dave is cool,

I have some pictures in the rides sections... just search under my name... I haven't had a chance to add the wife's new 03 M3 Cab.

    OK,

I figured it out... Idle Control Valve.
    Will clean it later today.

    Cheuk -

I think this problem is unrelated to s/w. This is probably something mechanical. I would guess idle control valve with a bouncing idle and it dying at stoplights. I imagine this occurs when you also brake, the idle probably bounces. If cleaning or replacing the idle control valve doesn't work ... I would head over to the help/mechanical section. There's some really smart people. I would also pm Jon Caldito and spell out your symptoms to him -- he could probably assist you.

You don't have a vacuum leak anywhere either right? Your fuel pump is not making any abnormal noises? Good luck.
