Question Anyone have the LTW style wing from www.racepad.com ?

My friend has been looking into LTW spoiler for a while. In our search, we have found ofcourse nothing can come close to the original BMW one, its perfect in every way!

Here is our problem, the Hamann one sags, which is very ugly in my opinion, second the UUC replica one, it looks too big, its not smooth and I personally don't like it.

So I see today that www.racepad.com sells a LTW spoiler, and from their pics, it looks very very close to the BMW one, and it's not big and ugly like the UUC one......

Anyone have this spoiler so I can compare pics??

Here is what I'm talking about:

Original BMW (see how perfect the curve and the spoiler looks)

Hamann, its nice, except the sagging part! :

UUC one: I've seen this one in person, to me.....it doesn't look normal since I've seen the original BMW one and the Hamann one close up, it looks too big:

I have the racepad wing. I got one of their first wings they sold. I have been very happy with it. I have the blocks installed in mine though. Dave @ racepad is also great to deal with.

Hmmm. Your opinion may certainly vary, but I think the UUC one looks just fine.

I've got the replica wing on my 1995 M3. I got mine from <A HREF="http://www.uucmotorwerks.com">UUC Motorwerks</A> and would suggest them as the best source myself.

According to their website, UUC has the tall spoiler for sale for $195 right now - an amazing deal, as the pricetag was $350 on mine. Check it out here: http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/html_pr...ing/miwing.htm

I'd suggest going with the tall wing - just looks better, looks like it fits our cars much better than the short version. ... in my opinion.

I'd bet that the BMW engineers did some testing on the wing and that bottom lip has functionality. A wing adds downforce, but the shape of the back of the car can cut down on the vortexes that cause rear-end lift. You see some mfrs claiming "zero-lift" for cars that don't have wings. I would think that it cuts any lift caused by air going under the wing.

Its called the "base" and yes pablos car does have that part. That part is critical to the function behind the wing.
