I haven't seen any objections so....
Konrad's Service:
(615) 352-4639
I don't know the actual address, but he's on River Road, which is off of Charlotte Pike on the west side of Nashville.
Tell him that the guy with the black 318ti sent ya!
DON'T HATE THE HATCH!
From Page 68 of the 1997 318ti Owners Manual: "Vehicles equipped with ASC+T remain subject to the laws of physics."
Does he do alignments?
BMPR STKR: Real racers go LEFT and RIGHT.... So tru! Twins at heart.M

Ted's on 96W @ Carothers did an alignment on my IS300 for $59 (or maybe it was $69?) right after I got new tires put on it at the Discount Tire on 96E. Tell the folks at Ted's the Discount guys sent you for a... wait for it... discount.
Both my car-nut neighbors use the Gateway on CSB, and have good things to say about them too.
I've had good experiences with Aiken's Bimmer works in Brentwood, and with Vogely & Todd's body shop. I started out going to Auto Haus but wasn't impressed, and have since spent about $2K at the other two places.
How can I find Konrad????
Thx!!
JP Imports in Brentwood. The best place. Do not take it anywhere else if you in Nashville. If you can travel go to EAG in Knoxville. They really are the best.

Past:
1995 Hellrot E36 M3: JBR LTW flywheel, TRM chip, Dinan exhaust and CAI
1999 Cosmos E36 M3 Engine: TRM Tune, M50 manifold, B&B Exhaust, BW ASC delete, AFe CAI and LOTS of other stuff
New: 2002 E46 M3, Imola, 6spd, KW V2, Stoptech BBK, Agency Power exhaust, Mason Engineering Strut bar
I know my unlce avoids it like the plague. He hates them so much that he goes out of town to buy his BMWs.
I would too. A guy looked at my 1999 m3 and said to me he didn't know they were around back then. What a joke. I had to tell them how to reset my radio....really? Common....Originally Posted by bimmerjph

tell me more about JP Imports and Aiken in brentwood?
My Cars 2004 325iI say no to Konrad. Fixed me up cheap but left a mess in my engine bay. left off some clips. sloppy.IMHO. might have done more damage. nothing I can prove but I know my car. I look at it every weekend.

I too am also in the process of looking for a good indie shop in Nashville, not only for repairs but also mod work.
My first impression of Akin rubbed me the wrong way. A co-worker of mine (who used to work at Treehouse) recommended Akin Bimmerworks, so I stopped by Akin to get an estimate on a Dinan Stage 1 suspension install.
I spoke with the owner and during the whole conversation it felt like he couldn’t care less about gaining my business. His responses to my questions about his opinion on different suspension options had a layer of condescension. This is my first BMW, but I’ve modified cars in the past with suspension kits, intakes, exhausts, etc. so this isn’t my first rodeo. I didn’t appreciate being talked down to. He even asked me if I drove my BMW like it’s supposed to be driven.
When I asked him if he would prefer to order the parts, he said that if I bought the parts he would increase the cost of install “because he has to keep the lights on”. How about he keep the lights on by charging a fair price? I don’t even know what that price is because it’s been a week and he still hasn’t contacted me.
Going to swing by JP Imports and see what they say.

I have had great experiences at German Motorworks in west nashville on Kentucky Ave.! They are busy though, so keep that in mind. Brett has always been awesome.
Glad to hear you guys are happy! I don't frequent on here enough anymore! Looking to get your F30 suspension taken care of as soon as it gets here!
cal_exit - Did you find a place to call home? I would suggest looking in Wilson County too. East of Nashville. Mount Juliet 25 min, Gallatin , and Lebanon both 40 min.
Hope people are monitoring this thread. Anybody have a bodyshop recommendation? I'm in East Nashville, but the car is drive-able. I'm fussy, just like the rest of ya'll.

My son was looking at a '13 328 CPO at Nashville BMW. Had appointment to see the car, drove from Knoxville, talked to salesman on the way down. Arrived on time to find they were selling the car to someone. Salesman said he was holding the car, never asked for deposit. We were angry to say the least. After seeing the car, there was NO WAY he would have bought it. Big dent on right fender and door, paint over spray behind grills and on exhaust. Totally poor work.. POS. Will never do business with Nashville BMW!
