What mode do you guys use on your V1?

What mode do you guys leave it on? A, l or L?
A is getting a little annoying.
Does anyone know if cops use X band in cali?

i stick to A for the hell of it. i've gotten used to it going off in the regular spots...

i don't dare have the radar filter out a real bogey...then i'll have spent $400 for nuthin

I thought the cops were done with X band until I caught one using it on the New Jersey Turnpike. I almost ignored the signal.

I use the A mode... I do admit that it goes nuts when passing by a place with lots of burglar alarms and/or motion sensors etc.

I live in Cali, and I turned off my x band. The only band that turned out to be 5-0 was Ka...so I ignore everything else (but with K on)

Mine is in L, it still displays strong X band signals, just filters out some of the weaker ones. Haven't run across any cops using x band though.

Big L for around town, little l for highway driving. Neither has failed me yet.

I drove around for one month with each of them on (that is...A for 1 month, little "L" for 1 month, big "L" for 1 month, total of three months), and decided that big "L" filtered out or muted the not so important signals (especially this damn hospital that makes it go to 9 signals all full strength on X that I pass by), while still showing signals of nearly every cop I've passed (other cops that don't show up - the 60yr old rent-a-cop that was behind me for 2min ). So I stick with big L

hmm.... guys, random question, with the remote display.... WTF do you put the unit??


i know thats dumb, but im already planning it out, im thinking of doing a fiberglass job on the roof front in tween the visors to mount it i think, then hookin up on that Ut i think, rear view mirror with the V1 display built in....


i just wanted to get some feedback, cause i drove down south today, on a road trip, cheap radar, 200bucks, wouldnt give me direction, pissed me off.
