    AA c38, the sc belts never want to say on...wtf

    hey whats up guys. i have about 3500mile on my car. the belt went in 3000mile. and when i installed the belt it jumped back and forth... i pulled on the blower and finally i got her to stay on...and now tonight when i tuned my car on i heard a clicking noise and i open my hood an the belts jumping...so i pulled the blown towands the front end of the car an now the belts stays on fine.... WTF can anyone help me?

    Do you have the rear support turnbuckle set up properly? And is the tensioner under tension? I can't think of what else it could be off the top of my head. I'm assuming you haven't actually checked the alignment of the car's pulleys in general right?

    You need to adjust the turnbuckle bracket as camshaft said.

    The bracket we are talking about is the one that connects behind the oil filter housing:

    if the belts coming foward(towards the front of the car) what way should i try to more the turnbuckle brace

    Try taking some tension off by loosening the turnbuckle.

    Make sure you use the little nut on the turnbuckle to lock it after you adjust it too. If I recall the manual says to lengthen the turnbuckle until it starts to put pressure on the blower and then go a 1/4 turn past there. As for checking pulley alignment, I've never done it myself, but the two ways I've heard are using a metal ruler to lay across the tops, but with the ruler perpendicular so it can't flex, or by using a laser.
