    Question Just installed new exhaust on my E36 328...got a Q (m)

Ok, I just installed a new exhaust on my 328i. When I removed the old exhaust, I disconnected a hose which was connected to the baffles which open at WOT....I want to know:

    (1) What is the other side of this hose connected to?
    (2) What did you guys who have replaced your stock exhaust do with this hose? Just rip it off?

Also, I noticed this weird canister/cylindrical type thing mounted about midway on the stock exhaust pipes. I'm curious as to what the hell this thing exactly is. Anyone know?

    Thanks,

    Justin

As for the hose, cut it short so it is hidden behind the bumper and plug it with a screw.
