i currently have staggered contours on '99 M3. i want to buy 2 more 8.5's and put them on the front. am i gonna have issues? do i need spacers? if so, what size? i plan on 245/40's all the way around. TIA

I don't think you will need spacers but you may have to roll the fender lips or run more negative camber.
Try one of the rear wheels on the front and you'll know.
I've been trying to find some to get, the only way that I have seen is to buy a whole set of stagards, then sell your (4) 17 x 7.5s

yea, that is exactly what i am gonna do, buy a whole set - then sell the 7.5's.
tire rack jim... how would i know if i need spacers? if something is touching when i put the rear on the front? also, my mechanic inadvertantly rotated the tires (front to back) and drove the car around the shop (approx. 100 yards) and did not say one word about any problems. of course i told him to put em back the way they were so i did not get a chance to see if i would have any issues. i guess i will just have to do that test.

I got 8.5 ltw wheels w 245s all around with no spacers. 255s might even fit without spacers.Originally posted by 88bimmer

are you lowered? I've heard it's a tight fit and depends on the tire sizes you run.. At worst, you'll need a 5mm spacer.
