Speed Senor Wire for Z4 (E85)

Hey guys, I'm in the process of taking out my stock radio and putting in an aftermarket radio with GPS. Does anyone who where the speed senor wire is and what color it is? Thanks.

you should buy the bentley publisher Service Manual for your car. I changed the radio in mine and could trace all the wires i needed with it. Or maybe someone online with this book can help you. Good luck !

Signal F_DFAHR conditioned wheel speed sensor, rear right.
White and Green wire that plugs into the Navigation Unit.

Or if you don't already have nav, which not that I think about it your car probably doesn't , the two front speed sensors plug into the DSC control unit under your hood. The yellow wire, pin 34 is RF wheel speed sensor signal, and the brown and red wire in pin 45 of the DSC module connector is the LF wheel speed sensor. Take your pick. And I'm sure you know where to find the reverse signal wire.

Thanks a lof for your help. Yea, I didn't have a navigation unit, was having an aftermarket one installed so that is why I needed the speed sensor wire. Got it working.

In case you didn't notice, you responded to an old discussion. Mr Z4 hasn't been to Bimmerforums in over ten years. Hopefully, someone will jump in with an answer. You could also post an inquiry in the Car Audio & Electronics sub-forum.

Here is a link to the factory wiring diagrams for your car. They are a bit difficult to navigate:

    https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e85-z4-m-3.2-roa/

Here's a particular page which may show what you need:

    https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...nation/lahlU2a

If you click anything shown in blue (say, a splice location like X1101, you'll be given a choice - for you, Right Hand Drive - which will lead you to a picture of that splice's location:
