Ok, the guy that tore apart my car and was suposed to complete the clutch swap is out of the picture. He has flaked out for the last three days. Either doesn't show up, until two hours before the shop closes or cannot even get in contact with (today) even he said last night he was free all day today. Anyways, I really got to get my car back on the road and stop paying for all the stall time. I am limited on the time I can work on it myself, since I have appt's out the azz for my seperation from millitary, so I am willing to pay for the time spent on my car, if someone is interested and knows clutches. I have a step by step manual, with pics for the clutch change on the EVO. The job is half way done and the trans is dropped. LMK.......

Out of active duty and going active Guard. That way, I can still retire at 20, with full bennies.

bummer. i actually stopped by the skills center after the autox today but you werent there.

Yeah, the guy was supposted to be there at 0900 to start but could not get ahold of him. All of the work ahead is at least two person required so there was no sense in me going there by myself.

Yeah, he is a mech at Rad Motorsports, so won't be going to that shop again........

BIG MAHALO'S to Steve today! All I need to say is, more work got done today in three hours of work, than was accomplished by the so called "tuner friend" in three days.......Steve came out, ripped down the trans, yanked out the old sheit and installed the bright, new stuff.......Now what is left, is to put the trans back up, trans case back on, bolt the motor back down and reinstall all the engine pieces that Jarod tore through like a tornado the first day...... Wed will be another day of working, with the assistance of Steve again and Jarod! Whooo Hooo, cannot wait to break in that clutch! THANKS STEVE AND JAROD FOR COMMING THROUGH

Thanks to Jarod, Jayson and Big Chad last night for the trans assistance! Damn, the trans is a PITA to get it to match up! Somehow, the clutch collar got knocked out when trying

Will be at it again, after work today, with the assistance of Jarod and Jayson again....Feel free to come on out, as the trans is a heavy beast to try to manhandle into the tight space..

so i came back yesterday from a 5month deployment first thing i did when i got home, i opened up the hood of my car ... seriously. I got my ECU flashed by bimmerworld cause i upgraded my intake, and w/ that i upgraded my MAF and i got the bimmerworld throttle body boot, am i just replacing the boot ... or what, it says "Will not fit cars that retain factory traction control (this boot will allow removal of this piece for additional power gains)" ... so ya i personally dont' like the idea of ASC totally not being there, but if i have to i have to, so what am i taking off or do i have too, or is upgrading completely useless if i dont' take that off, and to be honest i dont' know exactly what the traction control looks like, ya i know, maybe i shoulda researched a lil more?

Ok so the 4-runners head gasket was blown, I got the head off, and Im going to call a machine company to take it to. As for cleaning the block and cylinders, how do I do it? There is so much buildup on top of the pistons its terrible!

Try GAO Towing. The guy took my 911 to the paint shop and only charged me $40 cash from Kakaako to Kalihi.
