35% is my preference, slightly darker is fine also, but i think 20% would be about my limit

100% FTW
I had 0% before (previous owner)and it sucked at night, I could only see out the front. Nobody could see anything inside though
0%? Really? I didn't even know they made 0% tint. It was probably just 5% dude.
20%
35% all around, nothing on the front.
Just looking to block some of the sun's rays and keep cooler temp inside the car, I don't like the "drug dealer" look.
15% all around
Anyone knows why I got pulled over four times in the last two month, because they thought I am a gang member?
5% in the back and 10% on the sides... If i had to do it over again I would go lighter, it's no fun getting followed by the cops. I think 5% in the back and 20% on the sides is perfect/ or 20% in the back and 35% on the sides would look good
Here is my friends with 5% in the back, 20% sides and 50% front (dope)
-Stromung- -Rouge Engineering- -UUC- -Racing Dynamics- -H&R- -Alpina-
-Bilstien- -Valentine- -Alpine- -Kenwood- -BMW Motorsports- -Plus More-
I don't know what mine is. Was there when I bought it. It looks darker than 35%, but that might just be from the black interior. If I had to guess, 25%.
This picture doesn't look like it, but the front and rear are that same. It's just sun shining through the windshield, and no light shining on the tinted back window.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
cops in nj can be pretty d!ckish about tints. i used to have 30 all around, dark but not limo dark, got the job done but it's way too obvious you're tinted.
if you want something more subtle or oem-ish, consider 50%. you can still see through it from the outside but it has a slight tint to it and blocks out sunlight. if you want something that's more noticeable aesthetically, consider 40%. 40% front and 30% rear would look great in my opinion. at night, you really can't see through 30% unless your face is pressed against the window.

I used to have 15% on my car, and I thought it looks too gaudy and ghetto, then I switched to 35% with the rear windshield remaining at 15% and it is perfect. Very classy, with the right amount of tint and light shining through. Wouldn't do it any other way now.
Why would you ever want to tint your windshield? The onyl people i see with tinted windshields and people running around in hondas.
Anyway id say do 20 on the back and 35s on the side. If you want one for the windshield i could only see doing say an 80-90 or whatever the number is to get the UVs, but no more.

%3 Llumar all around on all my vehicles. No windshields though.
Im kind of jumping in late here but to judge tints you really need to see them in person. Cause pictures are worthless. The darkness is affected by the way the light is reflected. Unless you have a nice camera idk what cameras can do now but my friends that have 35s at times they are sick and if i took a picture and said they were 5s youd all believe me but when the lights not shining right they are light as hell and everything can be seen through them.
Anyway another question is whats all this about precut tint films? Anyone do them. Seems like some crap like the turbonator.

also take into account your interior will also make a difference how the tints look.
I think if given the choice no one would mismatch them but due to legal restrictions you have to. Lowest i can go legally is 35s all round and whatever i want on the back. I would get a 20 on the back just because its more useful and 35s and a 20 dont look to mismatched.

Here was old car from HS..can't see it well.. had 15% all around. WAS ballin at the time, not so much anymore.
My m3 has the lightest tint possible, almost like that bluish mercedes factory tint and it looks amazing.

I have to wear glasses so night driving sucks.
But my eyes are bad (not as bad as most) so i have to be able to see people.
What would be a happy medium for this color combo. Light Grey interior.

Your absolutely right, 35% can look very dark from a sharp angle or can look crystal clear when the sun is shining through the windshield. The color of the interior does make a difference. I would suggest looking at some cars in your area because looking here is almost pointless. The silver 335 that was posted with 20% tint looks like limo tint in the sun, it is just sitting in the shade.
