Smile 318i question ? and newbie with 91, 318i auto e36 ,105 on the clock

hi new on here and newbie got a few questions for the massive

1- fuel consumption ? what should i be getting?

2-idle speed of revs? it idles at about 790 rpm ...is that good or bad?

3-temp guage - raises up to halfway in a minute or so and never goes up past it and rarely goes down past it unless i turn the engine off...is it faulty or has it been set not to go past halfway?

by the way top car and i love it so any tips or advice for me to improve the motor?

    thanks all in advance

    Not hardly a genius here.

Im actually waiting to here back from some people down south, there is a 328ic for sale that i want, but i want to have a compression test done first before i jump on the deal. If i do jump on it, the project should be about 95% complete by the end of the month.

bootscratch - Check the connections to your horns, the wires to them, and the fuse as well. Not too sure if it uses its own fuse, but it doesnt hurt to check. The fuse box is located in the engine bay at the windshield on the drivers side. The lid should have a diagram of the fuse box layout and what fuse does what. Just make sure its all good.
