Is this also the correct way to remove our Vert rear Headrests?

    From the E36 section..

The correct way, however, is to remove the little metal clips that hold them in. To do this you must fold down the seats, remove the side bolsters, remove parcel shelf retaining trim and remove clips.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

    Lol of course not.

You need to get the headrests out before the rear backrest goes anywhere. If you would need to take it out first to gain access to some clips....

the correct way to remove the rear headreat on a vert is basically push down a little on the headrest then pull them up real fast

use one hand under and one hand over

When I got mine out it was pretty damn funny. They launched about 6 feet in the air as I'm madly swinging my arms to grab them.

I couldn't get mine out for the life of me. I pulled and pryed and kicked and screamed and they wouldn't budge.

I squirted a little bit of WD-40 down each of the stems and *POP* they came out effortlessly.

If you have the rollover package....

pop off the plastic cover off of the rollover hoops and use a prybar against it to remove the headrests.

If your careful in not damaging RPS or headrests, sounds like a pretty slick way to get some leverage.

    ^^

Even if someone is stupid enough to try this butcher method, I'd say the fulcrum is located too close to the headrest.

I had a go at the weekend, just to see if it was real hard (and to clean behind them) and mine came off ok, roof down, stood in back over headrests, wiggled them and pulled up slowly, clicked once, then click again and theyre off, wasnt easy but not too challenging
