The only dyno numbers I have are since version 1, original block/pistons,
    570hp & 709Nm.

Since then the motor blew and now I have steel sleeves, forged pistons
and smaller SC pulleys. So Iīll just say itīs 600+ hp and 700+ Nm.

This picture illustrates the difference from a stock M5 on 18"s at the Ring

But seriously, this is not a car for the track. Itīs too heavy & stiff.

    My M3 however....

Basically, anywhere you drive that car is a car show. The car is a car show. When it's parked in your garage... right, car show.

For the last few weeks my car has been making a
jet like sound and it was coming from the passenger side supercharger.
It had been increasing and finally after we had done some very
spirited driving for a few days mapping & maf delete the sc was sounding like
an air wrench at a tire shop

So we did the only thing sensible:

    When I removed the SC:

No wonder it was making a hell of a noise!!!

Dang, that looks bad. I guess it is time for a rebuild.

What do you think caused the blades to poop?

P.S. You have such an awesome built car.

    Thanks

My best guess is a bearing failure.

Those pictures are really scary. When you say "rebuild" is it safe to say you have to rebuild engine again? because of shrapnel.

No big pieces can get into the engine - they will not pass through the
MAF housing. There is some fine metal dust in the intake passage and
some of it may have gone into the engine. I will clean the intake
from sc to plenum and do a couple of oil/filter changes.

    BTW, I never said rebuild
    Getting a new sc.

Was working on the car tonight and decided to clean the K&N filters.

Found alot of chunks of the impeller wheel on the inside of the air filter on the failed
    SC side

Maybe the SC didnīt produce any boost near the end and the other one
was blowing air the wrong way through it?????

Started cleaning out the intake today:

A lot of oil and aluminium filings/bits came out of the bottom of the intercooler!

Decided to fast-forward the drying process:

Then itīs reassembling the front and install the new SC!!!

Been like this for too long - summer almost gone by:

But now the refurbed PG2 Hamanns are finally on the car :

Centers painted, lips bare. Havenīt decided if I will polish them or not.

Feels so good having them on the car - the Style66's were driving me mad
