I am putting a Rogue Engineering Exhaust on my 97 328i, and I someone had mentioned to me about having to reset my computer after I put the exhaust on. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks.
supposively it lets the ecu learn the exhaust, but if you drive on it w/o resetting it will still learn to work with the exhaust

You don't have to reset anything for the exhaust. It wouldn't hurt, but you'll be just fine w/o it. That said, I'd reset it. Pull the EFI fuse(s), wait a minute, and put the fuse back. Voila.

Just to be curious. What's going to be different either way. I know the computer will adjust after a few miles, but why bother? I'm just making sure I do it right. Thanks.
