It was a 99 M3 hellrot color. He bought it at an online auto auction. The car had some body damage that was easily fixable and he thought it was gonna be a deal so he went for it. Also would like to mention that the car was not drivable.
Mind you, he never saw the car in person but from the pics everything looked good. I came over his house to take a look, popped the hood and saw a 95 M3 more in it.
Ok dude got scammed, lol. I laughed at him. He could not do anything cause it was sold as is.
Anyway, my question is will it be able to run the same with the 95 motor since it is OBDII. Or does he have to modify some things.
its a s52 with the m50 manifold probably
yup, i would guess that
Check the orientation of the crankcase filler hole thingy-ma-jigger.
Towards the front on the the s52, closest to the firewall on the '95.
Or an OBD 1 swap... power figures are close enough for it to not make any difference.
lol, I was expecting him to say there was an M42 in there...
Words of wisdom. Never call someone an "idiot" in print. They can quote you too easily and make you look like a fool
Don
Post pics so we can potentially laugh at you instead.

I wonder if the OP has the stones to come back here now that his premise has been effectively, obliterated?
Bait...
i was expecting a 3 series motor in it lol or something like that...
SLAYER!
Wait.... what is a "more" anyways?
Is the joke on us?
lol
No it is not the m50, it has the s52/m52 manifold in it. Now why would someone swap an m52 mani in there if it was a 95 motor, unless they wanted to rip someone off. Also I noticed, the oil filler hole is in the back of the motor and not the front like all 96+ M3s have. So infact it is a 95 M3 motor in there with an s52 manifold.

Maybe the price was too good and low enough for him to overlook some items with the car.
But yeah, photos would help a lot here.
Yea I wish it was for my friend's sake. Seriously he took a chance buying the car off an online auction and lost out. The motor is an s50 with a s52 manifold. My guess is that the smart ass previous owner was getting paid for the car by the insurance co. He had a friend with a 95 M3 who wanted to do a s52 swap into his car. So they did it and also swapped the manifold. So a perfect rip off solution to have a OBDI S52 M3. Not so good for my friend who ended up with a 4 year old motor, not knowing how many miles is on it, and plus having the s52 manifold.
Ok now back to my original question, since now I'v proven that I know what Im talking about. Will the car run like this? So its an OBDII system, with a s50 motor and s52 manifold.
You sure its not just an S52 with an S50 valve cover?
