Z4 gas tank help

Trying to help a friend on another site. She can't fill up her gas tank on her Z4. It allows about 7 gallons in there and then stops as if the tank is full, but it's definitely not. Its not a broken gauge.

Does anybody know why would happen?

How do you know the tank isn't full? Level senders going bad are not unheard of for Z3's. You tested it through it's sweep?

fuel level sensor problems are common on BMW's.

I know it's not full because the car is out of gas after 7 gallons of gas after about 120 miles.

get a new gas tank. LOL
