battery indicator light
so yesterday my battery was dead..I went a head and got a new one and put it in...started her up and it worked fine...on the way to work today, I noticed that the battery light was on?? since I placed a new battery in, does that mean I need to replace the alternator now, or does the light just need to be tuened off..does anyone know?

drop by Autozone, they should be able to tell you...easy test is to get a multimeter ($20 at Autozone) and measure voltage across battery terminals while running (should be around 13/14Volts generally)...pretty sure the light doesnt need to be reset, so probably something other than battery.

I would be very surprised if the light needs to be reset. I'm thinking alternator.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the alt. light is set to illuminate if the system sees less than the desired amount of voltage from the alternator.
I'd say you have an alternator problem....
