Above is a link to my DD build. I saved this BMW from the Junkyard as it was being parted out on Jackstands....
I hope to have this megasquirted, boosted vehicle running in July.....
25+mpg and 300-400hp

I can't see the pics but those 2.3T motors, although kinda heavy, are great motors and respond very well to mods. Just like a Volvo 2.3T, simple strong and can take alot of boost. I love it. Just wish I could see the pics.....

..I used an Over/Under method for FMIC and Radiator
I modded the Hyd clutch so it would fit nicer and attach to the BMW lines
The BMW Transmission crossmember was reworked to work with a Chevy TH400 mount
Mocked up Drivers side. I built the upper intake out of Tubing 2.5"-3.5"
NOYCE!!! Bulletproof and cheap. Do you know if the motor is heavier than 6 that was in there. I like the throttle body adaptor mod. .

Thanks Guys. I will say that putting a little turbo 4 in this has required at least 10 times the fab work and many more hours than my SBC conversion...
I'm hoping to hang more parts on it this weekend if the parts show up today...
Very nice. When the project is up and running, do a search for the 16 valve Volvo head swap. Some mods will need to be done to the block, but imagine the power output. I can't wait to see your swap completed!!
great work man...that should put up better numbers then most people who do the m30 turbos swaps...props
Well a little time off turned into a couple months. I have the MS 90% wired but haven't touched the car since early August. I swapped an LS1 into my DD silverado and that has taken up most of my time.
My new goal is to have the car on the road by the end of the year.. Hopefully fired by Thanksgiving. Maybe that is a better timeline. I just had too much going on this summer/fall
If you need any help doing anything, drop me a line. Actually, I really just want to see the car 'cause it's so unique.
Will do. Right now I'm finishing up other projects but I hope to get back on this car in a few weeks. Even if I only spend a couple hours a week. It's actually pretty close to starting...and once that happens the project will get the shot in the arm it needs.. Of course at this stage I'll have to figure out where I left off. I have a couple electrical connections to make and add the WBO2 setup. Lots of misc like exhaust and driveshaft fabbing.
I really want to drive it this fall, make some adjustments over winter and make a full summer or cruising and racing with the car.
yeaah megasquirt. need vids of it running. Now i miss my 2.3t.

Well.. after a few hours looking over the wiring last night I decided it was time...
I cranked her over and she fired !!!
Still plenty to do before road worthy but it sure was a good feeling
Now the exhaust, final wiring, coolant lines, tuning and about 20 other things need completed and I'll head down the road
Any updates. I want to se this thing running man!

I got it fired in October but never rolled down the street yet. Baby #2 and a job change has taken most of my time up. I plan on taking the motor/trans back out one more time to make a few changes, powder coat and paint a few more things and then put it back together. I still need a driveshaft and many other misc odds ends. I've been doing a buch of side work making some car money so I can do it right.
It's 3 degrees out right now so there isn't much motivation to get out to the garage but a month from now will be a different story.
I'll check back in.
