I had the trans program come up twice after bought car. Brought to independant BMW repair shop and got the following codes.
42 Output speed sensor n-ab
Stall-speed monitoring
(pins 14-,42+ on SG
Fault has been recorded as fault 2 no or incorrect engine-speed information
100 Speed monitoring
Fault hs been recorded as 3 This fault may well be a secondary fault. First eliminate Fault 42 and ignore Fault 100 for the time being
Speed-Sensor signals faulty or slip in teh gearbox too high.
105 Speed Monitoring
Fault has been recorded as fault 1. This faultu may be secondary fault. Eliminate fault 42 and ignore fault 100 for time being.
Speed-sensor signals faulty or slip in the gear box too high.
By the way on trip to shop and back the car ran fine and still does. Qucik explanation form shop was to sell me a rebuilt tranny for 3K.
