Attention SoCal E46 and E90 owners!!!

BMW is coming out with a new line of their own Performance Parts. These parts will be backed up by warranty nor will they void vehicle warranty. BMW NA is planning on releasing these parts late June. At this time only e46 and e90 parts will be available.

Here is a list and brief description of the first parts to be available.

BMW Performance Parts - Destined to be released in late June, early July.

    BMW Performance Wheel/s - 18" (E46 E85 E86) - 19" E90 E91 E92 E93

    - Machined for less weight, up to 2 pounds lighter than conventional wheels
    - Two-tone ferric gray polished surface with BMW Performance wordmark
    - Largest technically viable wheel/tire combination released by BMW

As far as I know there is only one design available, I assume more will come as the performance line grows.

BMW Crossed Drilled Rotor - (E46 330i, xi only)

It's pretty much a E46 M3 Competition Package rotor, but its made for the non M cars.
I believe the setup uses stock pads, however there might be an alternative. I'll know more in the future.

BMW Performance Strut Brace - (all 6cyl. E46 M54, E90, E91, E92, E93 (not 335i, yet) Intake air box gets in the way.

    - Increased stability and structural stability when cornering.
    - Extremely lightweight using hollow carbon profile and brackets made of aluminum

I've seen a pic of this bar and its pretty clean. Its all CF and it says BMW Performance in the center. It curves towards the center of the motor, it is not straight like other strut bar designs.

BMW Performance Suspension - (E46 [not 330i, no sport suspension 226] E90 from start of production)

    - Lower suspension setting of 15mm (depending on model)

It looks like there will be some type of shock and spring combo. I'll have to check the catalog again but it looks like BMW will be offering a sport shock. I think it uses the OEM spring but I don't know. ( I dont have the catalog infront of me)

BMW Performance Control Arm - (E46 330i [not with option Performance Package] or other with option sport suspension 226)

    - Stiffer bushings condsiderably reduce roll and increase responsivness

Pretty much a beefer control arm. When I get a set I'll compare part numbers with other ZHP arms to see if they are the same.

BMW Performance Differential - (E46 330i [not with option Performance Package] as from 9/2000 onwards

    - Boost Power transformation from 2.93 to 3.07
    - 5% increase in axle ratio increases torque delivered to the ground
    - Accelerates up to 60mph approx 1/2 a second faster than the standard 330i

I do not know if it is Limited Slip or not, I sure hope it is.

BMW Performance Engine Kit (e46 330i [not with option Performance Package] from 03/2003 with MS45)

    - Increases engine performance to 235hp
    - Boost torque by 8 ft/lb
    - Raises redline to 6,800 RPM from 6,500 in regular 330i

Basically a Cam kit with software. It looks like it will be rather affordable.

    BMW Performance Shift Kit - (E46 325, 330i [from 03/2003] E90 E92 E93) available 07/2007, other models in preparation

    - Reduce shift travel by approx 25%

    BMW Performance Exhaust - (Designed for e46 and M54 cars 325, 330i)

    - Increase engine performance by up to 5hp at 6,000 rpm
    - 8.8 lbs lighter than stock
    - Two adjustable stainless steel tips on the rear muffler giving the exhaust a unique, high-tech look

    BMW Performance Air Intake System - (E46 M54 330i, 325i)

    - Increases engine performance by 3hp
    - Additional inline scoop reduces system losses by 24%

Incase you're wondering I am a BMW Technican @ Cunningham BMW in EL cajon, CA. I am the only technican who will be installing these parts at the shop and any questions can be directed towards me. The list I've provided is the only amount of information that is released by BMW at this time. When I know more, you will. All I am doing at this time is making everyone aware of the new product and where it can be purchesed. There are no offical prices or labor times yet. I'm assuming labor will be around whatever book time recommends for the job. Please direct all questions, comments, concerns or massive complaints to me. Thank You.
