Opprotunity - Anyone around Austin have a really noisy VANOS?

I'm looking for a couple of people in or around Austin that have the dreaded E36 noisy vanos, and would be interested in getting rid of the noise ASAP. I will provide a custom rebuilt VANOS unit and installation at a reduced price to help promote and provide feedback on my pet project, http://drvanos.com. There are already a handful of bf.c test cars out there who can verify this is the real deal, but I would like to get a few more local people onboard to help get the word out.

I have 118k on my 97 M3, I dont hear the noise...but I figure I will need this sooner or later. Def interested! (Dallas)

Looks like I need to make a trip to Dallas soon.

If someone wanted to host it, I would be glad to drive up there and install as many as I could in one day, and make it a 'group buy' kind of thing. Specifics would need to be off line and kept to emails.

"Marbles in a can" describes it very well. Thats how mine sounds anyway. Comes straight from the Vanos unit. You should be able to put your ear up to the unit and hear it, its very distinct.

Cool. I was thinking one of the two weekends after Father's day (and the TWS race) would be good.

Either June 23rd or 30th. It would only take 4-5 people to make it worthwhile, but could probably do 8-10 installs in one day.
$265 for stage I and $100 labor, no core charge either but I do get your old parts in return.
