Welcome in europe. You must understand there aren,t any general rules over here. Every country has it,s own set of rules. What i will post goes most of the time alltough for every country, region, trackevent rules may vary.
-most track events are called trackdays and are 2 days and can be open as well as group runs and usually contain other side events. You can buy a license for a year on a single track, or pay for single sessions. This way you can drive on specific days for a year. before you can drive on these tracks you will need to obtain a special track drivers permit, you can get it at all major tracks. Your car will be checked to meet technical standards to drive it on a track.
- to get there use a trailer. the major tracks rent spaces to park your car so it stays at the track permanently. Some people have cars that are street legal and can be used on track. Notice that if you do so you can't drive slicks, etc.
- track events are posted on the websites of the major tracks and callendars of clubs
- you can buy an insurance from an insurance company or at the major tracks.
I hope this helps a little.
