Hello, my name is Andrew and I live in Parkstein, Bavaria, which is a small town about two hours north of Munich. Last week I purchased a 2011 328xi because I needed a good winter car. They didn't have what I wanted on the lot so the dealer checked what was fresh off the assembly line in Munich. She is alpine white with black dakota leather, 6 spd, heated seats, and navi. Nothing too fancy but great for the winter. We already have 8 inches of snow here and I need an all wheel drive car bad. My other car is a built C5 Corvette that I built and tuned myself. She makes 457 rwhp all motor, lots of fun over here on the autoabahn and the Nurburgring! Not so great of a winter car though. Hope to make some friends on here and learn a few things about my car. First mod is some black [COLOR=blue !important][COLOR=blue !important]wheels[/COLOR][/COLOR] and some good winter tires. BTW any members here from Deutschland!!??

I am French (born, raised, and educated), have been living in the USA for 24 years, and about to move to Geneva for a three-year assignment.

Here I drive a 98 E36 M3 Dakar Yellow.

And my wife drives a 04 X3. Unfortunately, the move means selling the X3 and the 98 M3 (I am moving the track car).
I am looking for anybody in this forum who can share his/her experience of going to European tracks. Any information would be great.

• What is the format of a track event (1 vs. 2 days, open track or in groups)?
• How do people get there (do you have to trailer a track car or can you drive it)?
• WHere do you find out about track events?
• What about insurance? How does that work? Regular or track insurance?
