No way I'm not having that people don't know to just turn the button off ASC on ASC off that's like Haveing 33 pages of use the key to start a car or hears how to hot wire it and going to lands end and back covering the same thing 25 times when it's just so simple to use a key. That last part was just an example by the way but non the less the thread made a sort of interesting read I'm still non the wiser if it's worth actually changing TB does it actually make a noticeable difference or not
just did this and it was pretty straight forward. i removed it with out removing the actuator. I removed the TB and zip tied the actuator cable to the actuator motor. the only thing i have left is to remove the bulb from the cluster. btw for the people that want the oem boot you can get it on amazon http://amzn.to/1XJUUWK

Very interesting thread.
I swapped a M52B28 motor (from a UK E36 2-door) into a E30.
I only got the original DME with the motor from which we deleted the ESC.
I did get the ASC throttle body, but without its controller.
When I put it on my Dyno I realised 2 things:
My Diagnostic tool does not show me FT on the Dyno. The Throttle valve opens fully.
Vanos is permanently Retarded- The Vanos I can control with the Unichip
I wonder if these issues are not caused by the missing ASC ?
Since everything is missing from the ASC, I cannot do the simple resistor fix ?
Or is there a way to jump some pins with a Resistor on the Siemens DME ?
The Tps shows:
0.67 V at idle
4.47 V a
@ WOT or Full Throttle
Are these values correct or am I barking up the wrong tree ?
Any ideas would be most apreciated
question. Can you run the ASC delete, samco intake boot with stock airbox?
ask in the E36 regular forum and you get more replies, this forum is for DIY fixes, you can link this thread in your post.
