    Question Rpms Jumping up and down while in idle

    Rps jump up and down erratically from 500 to 2500 over and over until put into reverse or drive..... then while driving the rpms seem to jump every 45 seconds make the car jolt forward a bit ..... any idea what could be causing this.... brand new ICV and air meter... please help

    Check for vacuum leaks. If there is a vacuum leak after the MAF sensor, you will be getting a rough idle as the air that the intake is receiving does not match the data from the MAF sensor.

    2500rpms... heh... that would suck if a cop pulled up next to you at a stoplight with his windows down.
