How often does your aux fan stay on after shutting down the car?

I have noticed that my aux fan stays on probably 70% of the time that I shut off the car. My coolant levels are ok, and actually the dealer put a new aux fan in for me earlier this year. I am just curious how often you guys are seeing the fan stay on after shutting down the car.

In my 525, it stays on for about a minute or two. In my 540, I haven't heard it stay on at all.

I don't think I've ever noticed my fan staying on in my 540 either.

it sometimes stays on if you push car a lot when you are driving and quickly shut it off whenr you park

Maybe I'm shutting it off too quickly. I haven't really been driving very hard, all things considered. I'm not necessarily worried because I know it's "normal" and my temp guage reads ok, coolant levels are ok, etc. I'm just wondering if I might have an electrical or sensor issue.

My fan has stayed on for about 30 sec a few times and thats about it. It has been too cold (since I got the car) for it to really stay on any longer.
The fan has stayed on for a couple of min before on the E90 though. - Just FYI
