    Vacuum Port on Intake Manifold

There is what appears to be a vacuum port on the bottom of the intake manifold plenum that is not connected to anything but has a short length of hose attached. With the engine running there does not appear to be any vacuum from it. What SHOULD it go to?

There are two vacuum ports under the manifold next to the engine and one toward the out side that has a small hose that contains a restrictor that attaches to a small diameter nylon hose that runs through the firewall and attaches to the interior temperature sensor under the drivers kick panel.

So THATS where that little nylon line is supposed to go! I could not feel any vacuum with the engine running; should there be some?

Yes, a little, but there is supposed to be a restrictor in the short connector hose. Maybe it is plugged, or someone plugged it trying to stop vacuum leaks.

Thanks, I'll put a gage on it to see if there is any vac.
