My e36 320i starts up fine and idle's at around 750 rpm for a few minutes then after a while drops to around 500-550prm,It doesnt sound rough but not as sweet as it should and has a slight shake to it,also every now and again it will seem to miss a beat,,This all goes away at the touch of the accelorator and it drives fine.Am I just been fussy or is there a Problem?
Is there a way to adjust the Idle at all?
mine is doing the same... its been doing it for a while.
im ready to read some answers!

Yeh,Myn has been doing this for a while....Just wondering is this Normal?????
clean the ICV!! (idle control valve), if you haven't already..
you say it goes away after you touch the accelerator so that is what leads me to believe the ICV is the only problem.. otherwise if the problem persists all the time it could be a vacuum leak
Where will I find the Idle control valve??any tips and pics would be great.....thanks
Is there a DIY for icv?
Thats for the m50 engine, myns the m52?is it basically the same??
Cleaned out throttle body and car ticks over alot sweeter now, gonna clean idle control valve soon.....thanks
Will this solution solve my 1.5k idle surges when my engine is cold? (it like revs by itself when starting in the cold). This doesnt happen in warmer temps though, but also does this where it will be around 700 and then drops to 500.
As soon as you get done cranking, it shoots up to 1500-2000+? This is normal.

Hi I hope you guys can also help me I have a 320i e36 m50 non vanos idles very low and rough
Run injector cleaner. Spark plugs? Clean your idle control valve, if you have a ultrasonic cleaner that would be best. Make sure your pcv hose is free of sludge.
