Hey miller time, can you do a video diy on changing your fuel filter. I have a 93 325is and the fuel filter is located underneath the driver side seat and it is impossible to get to. I can reach and unbolt the clip to the inlet hose but I cant seem to reach the outlet hose clip. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
The talent some of you guys have is really amazing. Wish you lived next door. I have begun to do several small diy projects thanks to the diy project list on places like Pelican and here. It's very satifying and you boys that provide this info are true to be respected.
Now where are the links to your vids?
i believe the position of his fuel filter is different from yours. have you read write ups for this? its not a convertible-specific problem. directions for any early e36 6 cylinder coupe, sedan, or convertible will work.
they changed it with the OBD II cars, i believe.your c-pillar panels have been broken since you got the car?
Thanks the for the response Palomino. I have read many DIY on this topic and I have looked at 2 books that I currently own. However, I checked the position of my fuel filter and it is impossible to reach the outlet hose from under the car. I am planning on swapping out my PS reservoir Monday so I am going to be taking out my intake manifold so I'll see if I can reach the outlet clamp from the engine bay.
Changing all my filters this weekend... except the fuel filter.
It's worth the money to me to let someone else mess with that one.

Just watched the dog ear video. You f*cking rock dude. =)
Now please show me how to make my top work normally again! Also the non-noisy top would be cool too.
Thanks so much!

Millertime, I have been on youtube and saw the seafoam video but havent seen the others...like the dog ears. I have searched under your name but cant find them. Where should I be looking?
I'm trying to get a different account with youtube (larger file size) because this last video was 14min and there max is 6min. I think. You can see all of the videos on the first page of this thread in blue. I'll let everyone know when I can fit it on youtube, but it's on "putfile" for now.

No, this was a borrowed tool from "autozone" and it works on ODB-II only, sorry. You can use the stomp test for your car though. I think the key is to clicks foward and press the pedal to the floor five times and the check engine light will blink with the coresponding code. And the autozone one is only good for the "check engine".
