Where to buy plastic interior trim retaining screws?

Those flat plastic retaining screws that hold the center console, other trim pieces in place?

The old ones I have/had are in terrible to useless shape, and I'm not having any luck finding them online. Any tips?

    Thanks!

I found a display of auto retaining clips at the local auto detailer supply store. I wan't looking for them, but there they were, just about any kind and style you could think of.

Cool, thanks guys, will try there

I'm so used to finding things online, I sometimes forget obvious places like my mechanic and the dealer. Will try there.

Pelican has a huge online selection. BMA usually has better prices, and will price match. Not sure which has a broader supply...

Are we allowed to use direct links? O well.

Yes, I now hate you too...

BavAuto is fine. They just tend to be pricier than other options alot of the time. On the plus side, being in VT you're close to them, so it's understandable. They did have a spell of sub par quality parts, but I hear that's been cleared up.

Oh, and they still have good prices on the hard to find iX font Billie HD's

I've used bavauto quite alot, didn't know that they were pricier. When you say sub par, are you referring to OEM stuff or aftermarket?

IIRC, they were having issues with quality of suspension parts. I believe it was related to issues with rubber quality. If you talk to BavAuto they will typically tell you their stuff is ONLY OEM with regards to replacement parts sans sheet metal. I do know that some companies are expanding into eastern Europe (much like our going to Mexico and China) and there have been some quality issues related to that.

Personally I prefer WorldPac venders (BMA, E German, Zygmunt) as you tend to be able to choose what manufacturer you are sourcing the parts from. Additionally, and little known, you can often talk a WorldPac vender into shipping from a closer warehouse if you need something in a hurry.

For dealer stuff, The BMW Store in Cini or Hendrick in Charlotte both offer 20% off list price to CCA members. Some other dealers may as well. My local dealer does 10%.

Yup, they're still there. They actually bought out the inventory of Bimmer Parts Co, which also used to be a good source of 2002 parts on the east coast. My euro down pipes and some of the other stuff to run the Scorpion stainless exhaust came from Maximillian. Fortunately I have family in Germany, as well as some contacts at the FIZ for getting euro parts.
