    P1500 Error code(VSS intermittant)

I have been getting this code occasionally. I have dosconnected and reconnected all connections. Only happens when decelerating after moderate to hard acceleration. And does not do it consistently. Could the BOV be acting up?

Took it to BMW and they said it was due to ECU. Had ESS reprogram. Does not happen as much as it did, but it still does. EML/DSC lights clear after car sits for 10-15 minutes. Then everything runs fine. ESS feels it is a leak somewhere.

    What gives?
    Thanks,
    Coop

P1500 is idle speed control valve stuck open. Have you tried cleaning/replacing it?

I had BMW run a diagnostic report and the ICV error was present and had occured 14 times, but said it was due to software and since ESS had re-prgrammed it, then they would not touch it. They did not say if the actual component was faulty or not. How could failure of the ICV be a non-warranty item, even if the ECU has been re-mapped?
