Hi guys...
About to take the plunge... searched the forums, kbb, edmunds, nada... but wanted one last "validation" from you guys here before I goto the bank.
History of the car:
1st two years of its life in New England area
Then to Texas
Now in CA
Car has seen 2 owners
Exterior: 7.5/10 (with maybe 4-5 minor scrapes), one broken fog light, but paint looks quite good for an 11 year old car
Interior: 7/10 (seats cracked a little but no tear)
Owner has replaced radiator but nothing else (not RTAB, RSM, etc)
Car is dealer-serviced, most records are available.
Mileage: 130K
Had an accident (front end) but title is clean
How much would YOU pay for this car?
Thanks in advance....
me >? 8.5
X-brace, ACS fr strut brace, RSMs/Z3, RTABs, TMS sways, eibach springs, MM underpanel, UUC lt fly, 3.5 Samco elbow & MAF, JConforti chip, AA pipe, Al coolant bits, SS brake & clutch lines, LTW seats & door cards, GT intl CF trim, no center console, UUC EVO3, M5 lit knob
I have no idea about prices in California, but $8,000-$8,500 tops for me. You'll probably need a good deal of money for parts if the owner hasn't replaced much.

pics would help.
My "noob" status on this forum doesn't allow me to post images or URLs..
if the car doesnt have any current issues and has looks to be well taken care of I wouln't pay more than $9000 130k is a lot
Not having RTABs, etc done hurts it a bit... 8-9K top end.

Thanks guys..
I was searching but couldn't find -- what is the recommended BMW service intervals for the e36 M3? 90K miles is a major service (right?), when is the next one due?
The guy said the last time he took it in for service was at 90K miles (3.5 years ago!!!!). Scary...
^ anyone?
theres a 100k mile check list. Basically explains what should/needs to be upgraded by that point. Some things that should have been replaced now are shocks, inner and outer balljoints, rear shock mounts, possinly flex disc, rtabs, cabs, etc.
If the car has not been serviced for almost 4 years I would expect to spend at least 1K up front to get the car up to spec.
Is this the Avus blue 95 on CL San Fran area for 9500? Looks like a good car. Did you look at it in person yet?
yah.... smart boy.. heehee....
yup, saw it in person. Didn't pull quite as strong as another 99 I test drove... but I need this car as a daily driver so kindda price sensitive.
I am expecting to spend about $1-2K to bring the car up to snuff after buying it... I just hope that will be enough and that there won't be any big nasty surprises....
If you have a few grand socked away already I say go buy it! Looks like a solid car and will save me from getting on a plane and buying it myself! hheeh
you're in the market for one as well? What yr/color/miles are you looking for?
