My rears rub right now, and thinner tires could cure that. The stretch look would look good too. But will the ride suffer a lot? My car is a DD, and I'm not sure if stretched tires would be a good choice in my case. Thanks
I'm wondering this too. My wheels have the EXACT same specs and everything.

    Anyone?

    Anyone?
225's to a 215 is not that big of a stretch. Usually you want a huge gap such as my wheels use to have 265/35/19. I now have 225/35/19.

So a 205 is better? The best fit on an 8.5" wheel (not stretch, but best normal fit) is said to be 235, so 205 is a good stretch then? And what profile is best for a decent ride/look?

205 would be crazy lol. Just don't forget to get spacers and poke them.

The corrados gone man, parting it still and the shell will be scrap as soon as i get off my butt and fix my hitch.

    215/45/17 on 8.5=no stretch...

no rubbing tho,Camber is your friend! on 8.5 a 205 would give a nice stretch and if your looking for a real hard stretch run some 195's!!!

^^okay, a car like yours. Do you ever rub in the rear when cornering at speed? I just don't see how there can be zero body roll for it not to scrape...

    That's 215 on 8.5? My 225 on 8.5 look more stretched than that. I don't get it.

Totally depends on the tire brand. Some brands always look more stretched than others. I ran a 265 Continental on a 10 inch rear on my Boxster and the tire's sidewall ballooned out and now I run a Falken of the same size and the sidewall looks stretched.
