    windscreen water jets failure

Not sure if this is the right forum, please move if its not.

As the subject says, my windscreen water jets have failed. I'm getting a slight dribble out of one of them, and the motor seems to be ok. I can't find a leak in the pipes, and the water container is full.

Any ideas? Is it a known failure? Couldnt find anything on Honest John.

    I've got a 2003 320d SE (E46)

    Thanks

I have had the same problem on my E46 - my solution was to get a pin and insert into each of the nozzles to clear them out.

nice tip, but ive just tried that, and same issue. dont think theres a leak because the water level stays the same in the tank the whole time.

Disconnect the hoses from the nozzles and try the spray...if cleaner comes shooting out of the hoses...you found your problem.

Not sure what the weather is like near you but my lines were frozen when I got my E46.

    Washer jets

I had a similar problem, the motor ran but only a very tiny dribble came out of
the jets, turned out to be the impeller in the pump had dropped off. New
pump fitted under used car warranty and all is fine now.
Found it by pulling the pipe off the pump and watching nothing come out!
