Oil vacuum pump and coolant pump woes

Hi all, took my daughters 2003 318i to Bmw to identify cause of bad oil and coolant leaks, to which they advised new vacuum pump, head cover gasket, coolant pump, thermostat and radiator . Do I really need to replace the entire vacuum pump or is o ring replacement normally all that is required. Re coolant pump, thermostat and radiator - I checked out web for videos, looked pretty easy then went looking for my water pump. Unfortunately the 318i motor is not like the six cylinder water pumps all well documented on youtube. So it took a while to track down where the pump actually was! Man, it's piggy backed behind the power steering pump with stuff all acess and will be an absolute dog of a thing to replace

The valve cover on the N-42 is a common place for oil leaks, so get that one done and make sure you get the profile gaskets too.

Is the radiator sagging at the bottom? That is the typical when it start to age, however the surge tank tend to be the problem most of the time. As for the waterpump, don't know why BMW put it off the front of the block, but I think they were looking at using an electrical one like the N-5x motors, but couldn't pull it at the time would be my best guess. If you are going to do the waterpump, the thermostat is right there, so why not?

I would wonder what test they ran on the air pump, do you hear it first thing in the morning after the car has been sitting overnight?
