Emergency- Need Clutch Alignment tool in Bay Area

    Hi all,

I bought the new UUC Stage II LTW Flywheel and Sachs M5 clutch kit, but I just opened the box(es) and realized that I did not receive the clutch alignment tool with the clutch kit.

Does anyone in the Bay Area have a clutch alignment tool? Also, does anyone know if the tool is specific to the clutch kit, or is it a general BMW tool?

    Thanks!!

Claridges BMW PARTS is open on Sat. I think Steven Creeks is too. The tool is cheap. About $5-$20 tops.

Tried Allison, but they wouldn't sell one to me.

    Any other ideas?

Take a length of wood dowel that fits inside the pilot bearing tightly. Measure where the disc would sit. Wrap duct tape around the dowel where the disc would sit until the tape roll is large enough in diameter to fit the inside of the clutch disc

    Hey Justin,

Yeah, I've got the exhaust and driveline out of the way at this point.. will be digging into the transmission/clutch tomorrow.

    Wish me luck.
