Do you guys often do it at the dealer where you purchased the car from...or just some little car shop?
btw, mine is a 3 series...is it worth of going to the dealer and get it tuned?

$ealer is the worst place to take your car.

You need to find a good BMW mechanic to take it to.

Buy the parts online and have him do the work.

do you always find it's kinda expensive to maintain a bimmer?
for instance, for japanese cars, u don't have to change the whole set of brake system...but for bimmer, you have to chnage pads, discs and all kinda stuff...:emo

Get a Bentley manual, its not hard plus its practice and experience

Feel free to checkout out inspection list at www.bimmerzone.com/inspection.htm do as much as you can yourself and leave the "hard" ones for a good independent Mechanic.
