And that was the Euro version, too.

    A bit OT...

I find the whole C&D article from the 1990's (Best handling car at any price, right?) a bit strange. I like my car and everything, but is it really better than all those purpose built ones, especially in stock form?

To me it shows the C&D guys are drivers, but not experts. They didn't pick the best handling car of the bunch... they picked the car that was easiest to drive at its limits.

I'll probably get flamed for it, but whatever. I like my car for that same reason, so it's a good match.

do you have a link to that article? I think I have the actual magazine at home, but forget which issue it was.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure they didn't mean it was the BEST handling car, bar none.

It depends on where they were driven...

The miata is a fantastic autocrosser, but it gets it's ass handed to it on a fast track.

Everyone knows, and CD admits, they (CD writers) can be sensational. Remember, they made their name in the 60's when they proclaimed that the Pontiac GTO was better than the Ferrari GTO in a comparo, AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN DRIVE THE FERRARI!

Sure, it's just that I know some people around here love the "Best handling car" moniker. I think it's a little silly, personally.

I believe they did say BEST handling, however the best handling car in America under $100k. That eliminates quite a few cars (skyline etc..).

Nope, it was the best handling car over $30k. The $135k F355 was included in the C&D test, for instance.

I don't think a stock skyline ever cost above $100k.

Funny how they say the steering lacks feel, yet everyone says the steering feel is excellent.

I love the steering feel of the bmw's but thats just me. Theres also another car and driver article titled midlife crisis coupes which talks about the best coupes, between the m3, supra, nissan zx, lexus, and maybe one other. The bmw took that test as well.

This setup is good for atleast 300WHP. My friends civic had the same setup.
