Gang, I've got someone interested in my M Roadster and he's 6'2". His question was is he too tall to comfortably and safely fit in this car?? What say you???

it depends.
I am 6'1-6'2", somewhere in there. I have no problems at all fitting in the car and I weigh 240# or so. I have enough leg room (although not tons to spare), and plenty of head room.
A friend of mine is about an inch shorter than me, and his head is higher up than mine in the car by quite a bit. His legs are shorter than mine, so he sits more forward and his torso is taller.
It shouldn't be a problem, but have him sit on one just to check it out. How the seat is positioned can make a big difference.

6'3" and with stock seats, I had to do the seat tilt and hump removal to have any hope of fitting w/o a helmet on. With helmet I had to slouch quite a bit.
I sold the seats to finance a set of race shells and was able to gain about 3" of head room. Much better fit now.

My neighbor is 6'5". He fits in my Z3 (in either seat).
Tires are Evil. They MUST be destroyed.
i'm 6'1" 225lbs i dont have any height issues in the car (no room to spare but no problems either) but, i am fairly stocky and would have trouble fitting in the seat if i were much wider so depending on his build i would take JBgotMs advice and have him try on out before buying.

im 6"0ft, obviosuly no head-room clearance issue but if i was any taller id have to say id shy away from this car. at 6ft i find it resrictive in the legs. the seat is as far back and as low as she'll go and i still find myself a little cramped. I dont know how you guys that weigh 240 are doin it but hats off
with a shoe without alot of heel on it, I fit, and Im 6'5"
I could use some more space though.
JazzM is 6' 7" he had to get some Sparco's but now fits perfect in a roady.......i'm 6'0" and perfect fit.
I'm 6'2" and with the seat tilt mod, I fit like a glove.

I'm 6" 3 1/2" and fit fine, but I'm not taking a cross country jaunt in it.
I like to sit up a little straighter than most people though. No driving here.
I'm 6'3"/195. I can fit, but would like another couples inches. I actually set the seat a bit forward from it's 'furthest back' position, so that I can tilt the seat back more. A natural sloucher, I guess

6'6" and loving it. Really, its a matter of how tight you are willing to accept in exchange for having the car and how long your legs/trunk is.
Now in E92 M3 ZCP -- Absolute beast
6'2 and it's just fine unless I have a helmet on, and then it's really snug.
Wow! Most of you are 6' and higher. I'm 5'11" but, with the soft top up and the seat all the way down, it would be a couple more inches before my head touches the canvas.

6'4", 250 -Just barely doin' it. Got to do that seat tilt mod as my butt is toast after a couple of hours!
I guess it all depends on your willingness to fit in the car.
Stay in school...fishes do.
I have sparcos, got one of buddys (6'7. 320lbs. ) to barely fit in the passenger seat and had no room to put the seat belt on. Had to try twice to shut the door
I would just tell the guy to find a Z3, any Z3, locally and have a seat. Comfort and sense of safety is subjective... no different than how a single jacket can look and feel different on 2 people.

I have a friend of similar stature and after fighting to get his leg in, he didn't bother to try the rest. Felt sorry for the guy because he won't be fitting into anything sporty any time soon - took him a fair bit of effort to even find a truck to meet his needs.
He was about five inches above the roof line in my friends MR2 Spyder - but at least he got in! Goggles for the flys.
It was already mentioned, but it is a surprise to see how many owners are over 6'. I guess we've been fed well! Delicious steak...
6'4" no problem. I have got stock sport seats.
One other thing to note is that the early Zs didn't have the soft top liner which will give you a little more room. I think the liner started about the 01 model year. I have one with the liner and at 6'4" I fit fine and even find it more comfortable than my 4Runner for long trips.
