There is a new German car club for the SoCali area.
Werks of Art
They will be able to do things that the SDGCC cant do. Things like magazine shoots, car shows, and sponsored events.
This means that I will be dropping the SDGCC and making our club BMW only. This means that we need a name change.
I was thinking along the lines of...
- SoCali Bimmer Club
or
- SoCali BMW Club
... but that would be too much like the SCAC (SoCali Audi Club)
How gay would that be to have the SCAC and the SCBC?! :p
...So... help me out guys... and please, be serious about it.

i think what u said earlier would be a cool idea, if DTMpower of west coast.... get a joint club of the east and west side.
but of course you gotta talk to dado about his views first.

How about CBC? California BImmer CLub, since we'll have ppl from all over Cali joining, like mpbmw318is up in Sac Town.

I actually like the idea of that the most. Having DTM power west coast i think would be awesome. Having the west coast after DTM power shows that the club is nationwide. Wouldn't u feel prouda that...?Originally posted by DDD

DTM Power West would sound good but people would be like WTF is DTM Power West? Do you guys get my drift?
We should comeup with a name thats easily recognizable by non-Bmw enthusiasts.

Well... if you havent gone over to http://www.dtmpower.net , I highly reccommend that you do. They have established a very stong presence on the east coast.
The only problem with having BMW in the name is this...
Depending on how big our club gets, BMW will kill the name for copyright reasons. I believe that is why BMW M Power changed to DTM Power. Using Bimmer or Beemer is fine, we just cant use BMW or M Power.
As for calling it Cali Bimmer Club, CBC... that sounds OK, but seems kind of plain. Doesnt leave a lasting impression when you hear the name.
This is still all up the air, and I thank you all for your great suggestions!!
