    Kosta,

Is that an E46 steering wheel? Do the buttons work? How much effort did it take to install?

Well he already told you it's the e39 wheel, but that because of the buttons.

For the e36, this was the late Evo ///M-Tech 3-spoke sports airbag wheel.

I swapped my stock sport airbag wheel for the M-Tech version with lovely tri-color stitching.

(don't mind the old crap faux-Pioneer radio and bad quality pics).

Only yours seems fooking brand new, as I can see by the stiyching brightness (as does the rest of the interior). Nice!

On pics, I used to hate that wheel, but went after one just for the tri-color stiching and ///M-Tech spec. ....well did I turn 180! I love it. When in front of you, it looks and feel so much better. And while only 10mm (I believe) smaller in diamter, the old sportwheel suddenly transformed into a buswheel!

But for the love of God, I can't stand beige or grey inner trim.

I agree that the 10mm difference in diameter seems huge now. Plus, coming from a non-M wheel, the thickness is awesome.

BTW, I love black interiors. Except in a convertible. Black leather gets way too hot. The beige and grey stay much cooler. Function over form sometimes.

Very true. But all black is the only thing I can live in!

Not sure if my old steering wheel was thinner than the M. Could be, but don't recall. I already had the non-m sportwheel: (old pic of mine)

Indeed. Still looking for someone to hook me up with the ones from Bimmian.com as these are 1-on-1 Z3 replica's that click-in and have the bezel, and not some tacky glue-on ones.

Also, I've looked all around ebay.de and while they have the click-in and bezel ones, there are either not chrome (as per Z3) or seem too thick.

But ordering them from bimmian, they charge a whopping $40 for shipping, for something that doesn't weight much more than a letter and fits into an envelope.

Thats Odd....I ordered mine from Bimmian...shipped to Canada...my shipping was less than 20 dollars.....I'll look for my original invoice ...see who the contact was....I will say they rock ...snap into place no glue and look very high end...what a great upgrade.

You live in Canada, I live in Holland (the country, not the city)

I just send them an email (after 2 hours of finding an email address, which I hope it the good one). It's still strange that to Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany it's $34 (which I still find steep), but to Holland, which is not in the list and is right in between Belgium and Germanuy...- so I have to pick: All Other Countries, it's $53!!!

But I need these rings. I'm contemplating a chrome gear surround. Thought it was all crap (just as the rings) untill I - to my suprise - found out that the Z3 roadster/chrome package had just that. So it's OEM after all.

Which is very good since I love the rings (the good ones with the bezel that go "all in".) but when I thought they were not an OEM BMW item, I just refused installing them. (yes very fussy I know).

btw, anyone do a xenon interior bulb conversion?

i'm not trying to hide the age of the car but most people that don't know BMWs think my car is modern..maybe because its black and it tends to hide the lines.

I even like the stock bumpers and amber indies. It really looks like it just came out of the factory. Keep it like this and you'll enjoy it for many years.

What year is it? I see you have the small side indies, so it's at least a late 96 car.
By the looks, milage must be super low.

Any interior shots? Like to see how it's spec'd.
