Hey All,
Located in Upstate NY, 22 years old, driving a:
2000 4.4 X5, black.
Looking to suit up an iPod connector (such a pain to get done) and going to slap on a tint.
Last week my ac stop bolwing cold air. According to one mech the compressor was not working and recommended another mechanic. The other mechanic stated that their was no obivious signs of why the ac was no working properly and stated I need to leave my car with them for a couple of hours to check my car in greater detail.
One of my friends stated it probally is the ac reley fuse and to check the box. Went online and I cannot find where the ac relay fuse might be located in my car.
Any suggestions?

Long time Audi and BMW owner/enthusiast. Recently unloaded my immaculate 1999 540iA M Sport and miss it dearly. This should help ease the pain
The blue trim will be replaced with Dark Burl Wood (Anyone in AZ interested in a trade?) or wrapped in Silver Carbon Fiber to match the cloth inserts.

Just got a hell of a deal on an '06 X5 with 62k miles on it, traded in my old Grand Prix GTP. I'm already missing the low-end torque, but I'm sure there's something to be done about that Definitely an upgrade, riding in style.
You'll be seeing a lot more of me in the coming months, hopefully I'll manage at least a little while without pissing people off with my noobish questions...

Just bought my first BMW ever. 2004 X5 fully optioned one owner, garaged, only sat in by one person. No one ever in passenger or back seats. Bought it at our local BMW dealer with 2 year bumper to bumper BMW Warranty thrown in. THIS is one amazing vehicle. Never knew what I was missing till now...... Looks new from every angle....

I am trading in my 335i xDrive for this and feel like I got a great deal on the new car.
The wife loves the X5's and driving it was awesome so I am curious if anyone has any data (good or bad) on the reliability and longevity of these SAV's? With the research i did they seem to have good resale value and are definitely great looking.
Thanks in advance

So I bought my first BMW two days ago. It's got a lot of miles on it (150k) but I bought it from a friend who was the first owner. He said it's been maintained, and I trust him if he said he had the oil changed, tires rotated, etc., but the service book is empty (I just looked at it tonight). I thought when he said he had it serviced regularly, he meant at a BMW dealership.
So, maybe I should have asked more quesitons, but here I am. The car was actually his wife's and she was a real estate agent, so the miles might not have been the best miles to put on a car.
Anyway, it snowed a lot here today and the BMW handled the road very impressively. I'm sold (ironically, after I bought the car). However, the day after I bought the car the check engine light came on so I am here to learn about the car. I also heard there are some things I need to look for on BMWs that I would like to service on my own (such as a vaccum pipe that is supposed to go bad as well as the valve cover gasket). Actually, I'd just like to learn as much as possible about my car.

Well my wife decided she wanted a 2008 x3, and on the way home from the dealer she tagged a doe. So we are waiting on that to get back. Can't wait to get 100 posts...

Got it for about a year now....traded up from an E46.
We just traded our 328i for a 2008 X3, alpine white CPO. It has all the bells and whistles my wife wanted. It was kind of hard to find one with all the options. Anyway, I went ahead and got the maintenance contract go with it, so I should have to buy anything but tires till 100k.
