    Question Replacing the plastic rear window... how do you do it.

    Well I took a good look at my scratched up rear window and it needs to be replaced.

    It looks to be zipped in with a square four pronged retaining pin/clamp at one end... holding the "zip" in place.

    I already bought a new window but I would rather replace it myself instead of taking it to the Korean dealer.

    Anyone do this and how hard was it?

    Well, I got it on there. I used a "modified" zipper from an old bookbag. Why does BMW use a different "gage" of zipper than is the standard.... arrgh..

    I just left the zipper on there. Now all I need is some fabric glue and a heat gun.
