Feeler: Selling or parting out a totaled '99 M Roadster

    Hello all,

I'm posting this for a close friend who recently totaled her 5-speed 2000 M Roadster (240hp motor) with less than 30K miles on the odometer. She would prefer to sell the car whole but parting out is also an option. The rear of the car hit a tree, I can post pictures in a few days.

I'm just trying to gauge any interest with this thread. We are located in the SF Bay Area and all reasonable offers will be considered.

    Thanks!

    Edit: Fixed the model year.

Also, if we part out the car, everything will need to go (engine, tranny, interior, ECU, etc). Please post if you are interested.

Interested in various interior parts (cluster). Let me know if you are willing to part. I am local Bay Area and will drive over and help remove parts.

If it has the stock in dash CD player I will take it ASAP for sure. Email me at jumonvillechris@aol.com if it has it.

Roadster armrests will not fit in a E36 M3.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the exterior is silver and the interior is black.

I'm going to go look at the car on monday and I'll check the state of the requested parts.

    Thanks.

That piece is only ~$15 new, why not just go to the dealer and buy one? :

$15? I thought they were along the lines of $25...OK still it's cheap, but the closest $tealers to me are a bunch of morons...I can go to Circle BMW, but that's like 45min-1hr outta my way..I'd like to just sit on my fat arse and wait for it to come in...I'll hit the $tealer 2morrow and see if I can show them a stick figure drawing of it and maybe they'll understand

Thanks for the interest everyone. I saw the car this morning and it's in really bad shape. It got hit in the passenger side rear but the impact damaged evey panel on the car. I couldn't even get the hood open to look at the state of the motor.

We will try to initially sell the car as whole since this will be a lot less work. If this doesn't work out, I'll let everyone know if the car is parted out. Thanks.

dcardenas, we are still trying to sell the car whole.

Correction on the ad: this is a MY2000 and the best offer takes the car.

How much are you looking for? Anyway, drop me an email if you decide to part it and the motor is in decent shape (runs). My email is in Bimmerforums, just click the 'email' button.

    Thanks,
